March 2025: The Month of Fountains

Our man of God, Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome, has declared this month to be The Month of Fountains. What (or might I say "who") are the fountains? Let's discuss.

First, we'll review some of the Scriptures shared with us regarding the message of the month to get a clearer picture.

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. (Isaiah 12:3 NIV)

Lord, you are the hope of Israel; all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the Lord, the spring of living water. (Jeremiah 17:13 NIV)

"He who believes in Me as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 NKJV)

From these verses we get to understand that the fountain/rivers of living water talked about in the Bible refers to the Holy Spirit. This month is all about having deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit, the fountain of living water.

It's important that we recognize God's plan. Who is He, and who has He made us? What does He expect of us? We can't just live based off assumption. If you live your life like that, there is no way to know whether you're right or wrong. This is why God's Word is so important, because you have something to hold onto and reference. God will only judge you according to what His Word says.

As new creations, our thinking should be aligned with God's Word. That's what real faith is! True faith is believing in what God said and acting on it.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13:14 NKJV)

When you're communing, or fellowshipping, with the Holy Spirit, there's that which comes from Him and that which comes from you. To be in communion means to be in a place of oneness and unity. There's a sharing with each other. Remember, the Holy Spirit is a Helper to us.

As the Bible says in Romans 8:26, the Holy Spirit helps us to pray when we don't know what to say. He joins together with us in that moment, interceding on our behalf, because He knows exactly what the mind of the Father is - that's why we win. Our walk with the Holy spirit makes us unbeatable.

There's a kind of praying where you experience what the Scriptures call "deep calling unto deep." It's the kind of prayer where you're "poured forth" in the presence of God, where you're flowing like rivers of water, and it's all in fellowship. You can tell at that moment when the Spirit is flowing through you as you pray. At these times, you're in such oneness with the Holy Spirit as you pray.

This month, flow forth like an usher; let words of God flow from you. God wants to do something through you this month. He has made you a fountain of living waters! This month, focus on the communion and oneness with the Holy Spirit.
